We are very pleased to present the fruits of a challenging project; a hybrid Transom Boarding Platform come swim platform, come ladder. Watch here.

The goal of this new product was to interface between the transom of M/Y White Star and the transom of her Van Dutch tender, where they could dock back to back. This was successfully achieved by integrating a spring loaded horizontal platform and 2x vertical Carbon Spring fenders developed by CarbonWay and Teixido-Harrold Design Engineering.

Fender Whips

High spec engineered custom “Fender Whips”, also known as “Tender Whips” or “Mooring Whips”. Our whips are superior in every way to the standard fishing rod style whips on the market. Available in any length from 5.0 m to 7.0 m depending on the size and displacement of the superyacht tender. They will maintain them at a safe distance from the hull of the mothership in all conditions.

A large number of these are in use on many of the top megayacht and superyachts and have been the leading choice for top crews. This is due to the high build quality by Carbonway and their perfect balance of flex vs strength.

We also sell custom sockets and whip bases in carbon fibre, stainless and anodised aluminium. They can be attached to the deck, a tender garage, gunwale, transom or mooring pontoon. See some examples here..

Available in any Awlgrip colour, standard finishes are in white or grey.

Carbon Whip Bases

Adjustable from a vertical angle to allow for maneuvering of the mother ship, or 65 degrees out to 45 degrees depending on the crew´s requirements. Quick-release pins ensure easy operation and a fraction of the weight of equivalent sized pieces in stainless steel.

Carbon Ladder

The purpose of these small ladders is to allow crews to safely and easily access tenders once deployed from the side garage. The highly ergonomic and stylish design ensures a functional blend to the aesthetic of the main vessel.

Design and composite engineeing of this carbon fibre boarding ladder by Teixido-Harrold for a tender garage. Mock-up prototyping by Fust Art. All tooling and construction of the pieces were completed by Carbonway, Barcelona.
